Giving gifts to disadvantaged children in the North Lam Dong National Defense Economic Zone

(LĐ online) - On May 31, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trong Thuy - Political Commissar of Lam Dong National Defense Economic Group (Military Region 7) informed: During two days, May 30 and 31, Lam Dong National Defense Economic Group coordinated with the volunteer group "Friends" to organize mass mobilization activities in difficult areas with many ethnic minorities in the Economic Zone.

Specifically, at Da M'Po school (Lieng Srong commune) and Dong Gle village kindergarten (Phi Lieng commune) and Quang Minh pagoda (Phi Lieng commune), Lien Tri pagoda (Da K'Nang commune) and Da Mur Adventist group (Da K'Nang commune, Dam Rong district), Lam Dong National Defense Economic Group and the volunteer group "Friends" organized medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution for more than 200 people.

In addition, the units also organized the giving of more than 600 meaningful gifts to encourage the children and 400 gifts to families in difficult circumstances (total value of over 250 million VND) on the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1.

This meaningful activity has timely encouraged and shared difficulties with families and children in the North Lam Dong National Defense Economic Zone. At the same time, it is an opportunity for the Lam Dong National Defense Economic Group to exchange and grasp information on issues in the process of performing tasks for the people, especially ethnic minorities in remote areas. Thereby, further consolidating sustainable ties and identifying specific tasks to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people and maintaining stability in the North Lam Dong National Defense Economic Zone.
