Accordingly, the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center and the Binh Son District Forest Protection Department conducted a survey in an area where a group of monkeys, about 60 in number, frequently appear.

The objective of this survey is to accurately determine the composition of monkey species, thereby developing investigation and monitoring methods appropriate to the biological characteristics of each species.

Based on the collected data, experts will propose effective conservation solutions, while minimizing conflicts between humans and wildlife. This is an important step in efforts to protect local biodiversity, contributing to maintaining ecological balance and ensuring stable livelihoods for people in Binh Tan Phu commune.

For several years now, many households in Binh Tan Phu commune have suffered heavy crop damage due to monkeys. Cassava, bean, corn fields and especially melon growing areas have been uprooted and bitten by monkeys, causing total loss or serious reduction in yield. Many households do not dare to plant seeds for the next crop for fear that monkeys will continue to destroy them.
The People's Committee of the commune also recommends that people not use measures that negatively impact the monkeys but only use manual methods to protect crops.
