8 strategic investors in Da Nang free trade zone

On the morning of June 22, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's decision to establish the Da Nang free trade zone.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the Central Government has paid special attention to Da Nang and highly appreciated the efforts of the city government in realizing the Central Government's policies. The Da Nang Free Trade Zone will connect the global economy , creating a boost not only for Da Nang but also for the whole region and the Vietnamese economy.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh gave a speech at the ceremony announcing the Prime Minister's decision on the establishment of the Da Nang free trade zone.

In addition to the free trade zone, the Central Government also allows Da Nang to implement many new economic initiatives such as a financial center, deep-water port, river of light..., which will make Da Nang develop more strongly in the coming time.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh expressed his belief that with the capacity of Da Nang, a dynamic, creative and determined city with many ways to attract investors, Da Nang will be successful in the future.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee said that this is an important event to widely inform delegates, investors, organizations, individuals at home and abroad about the basic contents of Da Nang free trade zone. Development orientation, planning location, preferential policies and mechanisms, as well as plans and implementation roadmap for interested investors to learn and plan to invest in the free trade zone.

According to Decision No. 1142/QD-TTg on the establishment of Da Nang commercial zone, there will be 7 locations and strategic investors will be selected, attracting secondary investors according to a specific roadmap and implementation plan.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City granted a memorandum of understanding on investment in the Da Nang Commercial Zone to 8 strategic investors including: Sun Group Corporation; Tere Holdings and One Destination Corporation on cooperation in developing the Da Nang Commercial Zone; BRG Group - JSC, Thanh Binh Phu My JSC, Lien Thai Binh Duong Import Export LLC; Phuong Trang Investment JSC; Newtechco Group JSC; representatives of the joint venture of NewTechco Group JSC and Phytopharco Vietnam LLC; Saigon Da Nang Investment JSC.

At the same time, the notice of permission to study project investment was given to 4 interested investors including: Amata Vietnam Public Joint Stock Company, Green Ipark Joint Stock Company, Quoc Quang Electricity Company Limited, and European Plastic Joint Stock Company.

Sun Group Corporation (Sun Group) invests in high-quality commercial services at locations 5, 6 and 7.

Of which, location 5 (90 ha, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district) and location 6 (154 ha, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Ninh communes, Hoa Vang district) are oriented to develop into a high-quality commercial - service and resort complex with villas, resorts and high-class entertainment facilities, and a system of duty-free shops. Location 7 (401 ha, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Phu communes, Hoa Vang district) will be planned synchronously with specific complex facilities such as schools, hospitals, cultural and sports centers, and high-class residential areas.

It is known that the project has a scale of about 1,881 hectares, distributed in 7 non-contiguous locations, mainly in Lien Chieu district and Hoa Vang district. According to the decision, the Da Nang free trade zone is organized into functional sub-zones including: production, logistics, trade - services, digital technology industry, information technology, innovation and other functions according to the law.
