From July 1, 2025, the Law on Health Insurance 2024 will officially take effect. According to the new regulations, there will be 9 groups of subjects supported by the state budget for health insurance premiums. Of which, 4 more cases will be supported by the state budget for premiums.
Specifically, 9 cases will be supported by the state in paying health insurance premiums, including: People from near-poor households. Students. People participating in security and order protection forces at the grassroots level.

People in households working in agriculture , forestry, fishery and salt production have an average standard of living according to the provisions of law.
Village health worker; village midwife.
Part-time workers in villages and residential groups according to the provisions of law.
Ethnic minorities living in communes that are no longer identified as areas with difficult or especially difficult socio -economic conditions will receive state budget support to pay for health insurance according to Government regulations.
People awarded the title of People's Artisan, Meritorious Artisan according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage.
Victims as defined by the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking.
Accordingly, compared with the provisions of Article 12 of the 2008 Law on Health Insurance and Clause 4, Article 12 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2014 Law on Health Insurance, the new Law has added 4 more cases where the state budget supports the contribution level, including:
