The Ministry of Public Security surveyed and evaluated the plan to arrange temporary detention camps and evidence warehouses in Lam Dong province after the merger.

(LĐ online) - On June 9, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Colonel Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Director of the Department of Police for temporary detention, temporary imprisonment and execution of criminal sentences as Head of the delegation had a working session at Lam Dong Provincial Police to survey and evaluate the plan to arrange temporary detention camps and evidence warehouses in the area after the merger of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Colonel Bui Duc Thinh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the Criminal Enforcement Agency, the Detention and Temporary Detention Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police; representatives of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, and representatives of the leaders of the People's Court, the People's Procuracy of the 3 provinces and related professional units.

At the meeting, representatives of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police, on behalf of the Police of the three provinces, reported the results of the field survey and proposed a plan to arrange a system of temporary detention camps and evidence warehouses suitable for the organizational model after the merger.

Delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on many key issues related to the plan for effective use of existing detention facilities, temporary arrangements during the transition period, as well as ensuring legal and professional requirements in the execution of criminal sentences.

The plans are built on the basis of full compliance with legal regulations; suitable to the geographical characteristics, population size, and workload of the merged unit; ensuring efficiency, streamlining of focal points, and convenience for investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of detainees, prisoners, and prisoners.

The arrangement and organization of sub-camps and evidence warehouses are also oriented to closely follow the policy of not organizing at the district level, merging the commune level according to the new administrative organization model at the provincial level, ensuring synchronization and connectivity with the agencies conducting proceedings in the region.
