ABBANK reduces interest rates to 2.8%/year, helping customers recover after the storm

In order to support customers to overcome damage, quickly stabilize their lives and business operations after a series of major storms and floods in 2025, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) has launched a program to support loan interest rate reductions of up to 2.8%/year for individual customers and SMEs with existing loans in areas affected by natural disasters.

A series of consecutive major storms and floods in 2025 have had a profound impact on the lives of people in many provinces and cities across the country. Responding to the direction of the State Bank on supporting people and businesses to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, ABBANK announced the implementation of a program to reduce lending interest rates for individual customers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with existing loans in areas affected by storms and floods, while meeting the Bank's regulations. The program demonstrates ABBANK's support for customers to overcome difficult times, quickly stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities.

Specifically, individual customers with short-term business loans will receive a maximum reduction of 0.75%/year for the entire remaining term of the loan ; for medium and long-term loans such as real estate loans, secured consumer loans, car loans, medium and long-term business loans, etc., customers will receive support to reduce interest rates by up to 2.8%/year .

ABBANK continues to support customers to quickly recover after the storm with interest rate reductions of up to 2.8%/year for individual customers, and support of up to 1.5%/year for SME customers.

For SME customers , ABBANK has been reviewing and compiling a list of affected customers in each region to provide appropriate support solutions, ensuring timely and appropriate support to each business's needs. Accordingly, ABBANK will apply a maximum reduction of 1.5%/year for 3 months for short-term loans and 6 months for medium and long-term loans .

Mr. Pham Duy Hieu - General Director of ABBANK shared: "We understand the losses and difficulties that customers have faced after the recent series of major storms and floods. Through this interest rate support policy, ABBANK hopes to share some of the financial burden, helping customers have more resources to quickly recover and stabilize their lives, continuing to contribute to the development of the local economy ."

In addition to the interest rate support program for customers in areas affected by natural disasters, ABBANK continues to implement many preferential loan packages for individual customers, business households and SMEs, such as loans for production and business, loans for home purchase, car purchase, loans for priority subjects (civil servants, public employees, teachers, doctors, etc.) with competitive interest rates and flexible, quick procedures.

As of October 31, 2025, ABBANK's pre-tax profit reached over VND 3,000 billion, completing 167% of the yearly plan. These encouraging results were achieved thanks to ABBANK optimizing revenue along with effectively controlling operating costs, bringing the Bank's CIR to below 30%.
