As the key bank investing in rural agricultural development, Agribank has been actively supporting the development of the country's agriculture, especially clean agriculture, high-tech agriculture, and agriculture meeting OCOP standards...
Realizing the young man's dream of getting rich
The melon garden grown using high technology by Son Duong GreenFarm Company Limited in Khuon Phay village, Khang Nhat commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province was formed from the will and enthusiasm of the 9x guy Nguyen Viet Lam and the companionship of Agribank Son Duong - Tuyen Quang. The new direction of the 9x farmer has been making many people change their perspective on the process of clean agricultural production and high-tech agriculture. With passion, will and strong desire to get rich on his homeland, Nguyen Viet Lam has worked hard to research foreign documents on science and technology, agricultural production, from which he has applied them in practice, constantly learned from experience and innovated in the production process.
Nguyen Viet Lam shared: "For melon varieties, they need to be grown in high mountainous areas, where the climate is cool and the temperature difference between day and night is high, thereby minimizing diseases, at the same time the product quality will be better, the melon will reach the standard sweetness."
In the early days of starting his business, Nguyen Viet Lam spent all his own capital and his family's to grow clean agricultural products. There were also times when he was unsuccessful, when it seemed impossible to overcome because the cultivation of plants was not successful, the products were not of good quality, because transporting products to consumption places in the plains and neighboring areas was too difficult (due to the Covid-19 pandemic), and the capital was exhausted...
The most difficult time, when he thought about giving up because of lack of capital, was also the time when he received support and companionship from Agribank Son Duong - Tuyen Quang . From Agribank's capital, he and the company continued to develop production and achieved good results like today.
With bank capital and his own efforts, Nguyen Viet Lam's 4.0 agricultural farm is increasingly well-planned and automated, from cooling fans, misting to a pre-programmed water pipeline system with sensors to regulate humidity and water level. The agricultural greenhouse system is strong enough to protect plants from the sun and rain, while also preventing insect attacks. The entire nutritional care regimen for plants is managed by a fully automated system.
Melons are grown on coconut fiber using Israeli hydroponic technology, with a strictly controlled nutritional regime using an automatic system. The annual revenue from his melon garden is up to billions of VND. The work at the farm also creates regular jobs for 7 people, mainly local female workers. Melon products under the company's brand are available at many clean agricultural product chains in the province and the cities of Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, and Hanoi. With his own efforts and support from the bank, Mr. Nguyen Viet Lam has realized his aspiration to get rich in his homeland.
Bank capital supports farmers to develop production and increase income
Agribank supports farmers with facilities, modern irrigation systems, good seedlings and appropriate fertilization techniques. |
Trung Long organic green tea hill, which meets the 4-star OCOP standard of Ngan Son - Trung Long Cooperative, is also bringing economic value to the people in the Cooperative. Tea trees have been growing on this land for a long time, but in the beginning, due to poor fertilization techniques and seedlings, the productivity and quality of tea products here were not high, people's lives encountered many difficulties, and at many times, farmers switched to growing other agricultural crops. However, the soil of this land is still more suitable for tea trees, because when finding the right variety, along with good care techniques, the tea trees have grown well and produced especially delicious products.
To develop concentrated production, affirm the brand and find stable output for tea trees, households have joined together to establish Ngan Son - Trung Long Cooperative. Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Director of Ngan Son - Trung Long Cooperative said: "The Cooperative currently has 8 official members and 32 associate members, with a total production area of over 20 hectares of safe tea, of which 5.5 hectares of tea meet VietGAP standards, a yield of 15.1 tons/ha, and an average revenue of 3 billion VND/year. The above results are thanks to the efforts of farmers and the support of bank capital, especially Agribank. Agribank has supported farmers in investing in facilities, modern irrigation systems, seedlings and appropriate fertilization techniques. Since then, the productivity and quality of tea trees have been improved, and people's lives have been ensured".
Like Ngan Son - Trung Long Tea Cooperative, Hop Hoa Cooperative with its main product of Solanum procumbens tea has also made remarkable progress from bank capital. Solanum procumbens tea of Hop Hoa Cooperative has been recognized as a 4-star OCOP product.
Although Solanum procumbens is quite easy to grow, not picky about soil, has few pests and diseases, and grows all year round, because the output for the product was not stable in the past, there were times when people destroyed Solanum procumbens to plant other plants. Realizing the great development potential of Solanum procumbens, which can help people in the commune escape poverty and have a more stable life, Hop Hoa Cooperative persistently searched for an output for its raw material area, determined to preserve the tradition of growing this precious medicinal plant locally. Along with searching for an output for raw materials, the Cooperative has constantly learned and innovated. After a process of research and testing, the Cooperative has successfully produced and launched Hop Hoa Solanum procumbens tea.
Mr. Bui Van Hoang, Director of Hop Hoa Agricultural and Forestry Processing Service Cooperative, said: "The journey of developing Solanum procumbens tea products of the Cooperative has gone through certain ups and downs. There were times when the Cooperative found an outlet for the product but encountered difficulties in the raw material area because farmers at that time were no longer interested in Solanum procumbens due to unstable output, which greatly affected the quantity of products supplied to the market. Thanks to the bank's capital, the Cooperative has supported people to confidently develop the raw material area, helping the production chain to be continuous, ensuring a stable quantity of output products, meeting market demand."
Solanum procumbens has really brought the people here a better life than growing other crops, because Solanum procumbens brings higher economic value, three times higher than growing rice on the same area. Solanum procumbens gives farmers 2 harvests/year, each harvest is more than 9 million VND/sao. In particular, Solanum procumbens can regenerate after harvest and maintain the roots for 3 to 5 years, each year harvesting 2 to 3 times. From Solanum procumbens, the farmers' lives have been guaranteed, stabilized and developed.
