The motto “everyone contributes what they have” has been realized in a profound, creative and effective way in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. Each locality in the province has maximized its resources and united the people to support families in need of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Officials help people quickly resolve problems related to land and paperwork; people contribute working days and materials; organizations, individuals and businesses contribute materials and finance, etc.
By mid-May 2025, the province had built 6,773 houses out of a total of 6,928 houses as planned, reaching 97.8%. Of these, 4,177 houses were completed, 2,596 houses were under construction, and only 155 houses had not been built. The main reason for the houses not starting construction was that households did not have enough counterpart funds to carry out construction and some land-related problems such as lack of legal documents, disputed land or land not in accordance with planning.
Cadres, forces and people of Cap Tien commune (Son Duong) unite and actively support the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune.
To overcome the above difficulties, authorities at all levels are actively implementing many synchronous solutions, including: speeding up the disbursement of support sources, mobilizing socialized resources; at the same time, closely coordinating with specialized agencies in reviewing and processing land records, creating favorable conditions for eligible households to soon start building houses.
To achieve that result, the whole province has proactively implemented flexible support activities in various forms. The implementation budget was mainly mobilized from the "For the Poor" Fund with a total amount of 50.8 billion VND (of which the provincial fund was 49.8 billion VND, the district fund was 1 billion VND) and the "Repaying gratitude" Fund with 4.523 billion VND. In addition, tens of thousands of voluntary working days were also contributed by organizations, unions, cadres, soldiers and people throughout the province.
The program is not only a large-scale material mobilization, but also a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and cohesion in the community. In each locality, from leaders to people, everyone acts together with the motto of contributing whatever they have. In Tri Phu commune (Chiem Hoa), in 2025, there were 34 households that needed to have temporary and dilapidated houses removed. The commune assigned cadres and party members to be in charge of each household, directly supporting and guiding all stages from procedures to construction. At the same time, the locality also mobilized organizations and individuals to support materials and labor for households in particular difficulties.
Houses in Dam Hong 2 village, Ngoc Hoi commune (Chiem Hoa) are gradually being completed thanks to the support of the villagers.
Thanks to the synchronous and close participation, by mid-May, Tri Phu commune had completed 26 houses, the remaining 8 houses are being urgently built and are expected to be completed before May 30. Ms. Ha Thi Nhu, Tien Thanh 1 village, Tri Phu commune, could not hide her emotion: "My family was supported to build a new house of more than 40 square meters, ensuring three solid floors. I never dared to think that I would be able to live in a sturdy, clean and beautiful house like this."
In Nang Kha commune (Na Hang), the first locality in the district to complete the entire target of eliminating temporary houses, the People's Committee of the commune focused on directing the removal of obstacles related to land and premises. Organizations actively mobilized resources, supported working days, and linked the implementation of the 3 mottos with helping poor households build houses.
In Yen Son district, the district People's Committee directed communes to urgently complete procedures and start construction before April 30. Regiment 148 sent hundreds of officers and soldiers to support people from cleaning, digging foundations to construction. Thanks to that companionship, the whole district started construction of 1,811 houses on schedule.
The spirit of "Whoever has contributed contributes, whoever has contributed, whoever has contributed" is thriving throughout the process of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
