Notably, the export turnover of goods continued to grow, estimated at over 302 million USD (up 0.46% over the same period), showing that the province's products are increasingly affirming their position in the international market. This is a positive signal, contributing significantly to increasing foreign currency revenue and promoting the province's international economic integration process. The tourism sector is also no less prosperous when the total revenue from tourism activities in April increased impressively compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 1,200 billion VND (up 9%).

Promote administrative reform, create favorable conditions for people and businesses

Another bright spot in the socio-economic picture in April 2025 is the positive budget revenue results. The total budget revenue of the province is estimated to reach 3,250 billion VND, equivalent to 42.32% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council. This figure far exceeds the average progress of the estimate (33.33%/4 months), showing the effectiveness in budget revenue management of all levels of government. In a deeper analysis of the budget revenue structure, both revenue from import and export activities and domestic revenue contribute significantly. This shows that the province's internal economy is developing stably, contributing increasingly to the local budget.

Ensuring social security in the province is focused on implementing in a timely and transparent manner, ensuring the rights of the right subjects; strictly complying with current regimes and policies. Investment promotion is promoted, creating a favorable environment to attract domestic and foreign resources, promoting economic development. In particular, the province strictly implements regulations on preventing and combating corruption, thrift and anti-waste in all management and operation activities. The national defense and security situation is maintained, creating stable conditions for sustainable development.

Determination to break through

Entering May, An Giang continues to prioritize socio-economic growth, with the determination to achieve 8% or more, realizing the spirit of Conclusion 123-KL/TW, dated January 24, 2025 of the Party Central Committee on the Project to supplement socio-economic development in 2025. Speed ​​up the progress of reviewing locations to deploy the 50ha model participating in the 1 million ha high-quality rice project, continuously implemented in 3 crops (starting from the 2025 autumn-winter crop).

To create a strong driving force for economic growth, An Giang pays special attention to accelerating the implementation of key programs and disbursing public investment capital. Unblocking public investment capital creates a spillover effect, promoting the development of other economic sectors, creating more jobs and improving the quality of the province's infrastructure. In particular, the progress of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project through An Giang province and other key projects of the province will be regularly inspected and urged.
