The military forces prepared to fire for training. |
These days, in the joyful atmosphere welcoming the approaching big holiday, the Bach Dang wharf park area becomes bustling as locals and international tourists flock to admire and take pictures with the fireworks display. |
At about 8 o'clock, the military forces prepared to fire for practice. |
The artillery team consisted of 233 officers and soldiers of Brigade 96. The brigade also prepared a fence with 250 columns and carpets about 90m long. The artillery positions were placed on a flat, sturdy surface, so that when fired, they would create a uniform explosion sound. |
According to the plan, in the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification Day, the artillery force will use 18 105mm cannons (15 official cannons, 3 reserve cannons) to celebrate the event. The program includes firing 21 cannon shots to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. |
During the artillery installation, some roads will be closed to traffic from 9 p.m. to midnight or 3 a.m. the following day, starting from April 7 to April 26. On April 27 and 30, the artillery site area will be closed to traffic during the day.
