Vietjet Air officially stops operating flights in Dien Bien

Vietjet Air has just sent a notice to agents and customers about stopping flights to/from Dien Bien airport, starting from June 1, 2025.

Mr. Vu Manh Ha, representative of Vietjet Air in Dien Bien confirmed the above information and said that the reason Vietjet Air stopped operating flights to/from Dien Bien airport was due to ineffective business.

"We have sent a notice to customers before officially stopping flights at Dien Bien airport from today (June 1) - Mr. Vu Manh Ha said.

Previously, from September 2024, Vietjet Air announced the temporary suspension of flights from Dien Bien to Hanoi and vice versa; in Dien Bien, the airline only maintains the Dien Bien-Ho Chi Minh City route.

On February 1, 2025, Vietjet Air representative in Dien Bien sent a notice to relevant units about the suspension of flights from Ho Chi Minh City - Dien Bien and Dien Bien - Ho Chi Minh City, starting from February 12, 2025. However, after a meeting between the leaders of Dien Bien province and the leadership of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company on the morning of February 5, Vietjet Air agreed to continue maintaining flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Dien Bien.

According to the agreed contents, Vietjet Air has maintained the flight route from Ho Chi Minh City to Dien Bien on the route Ho Chi Minh City-Dien Bien-Hanoi, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays every week. However, after a short time of implementation, Vietjet Air officially announced to stop all flights in Dien Bien.
