The Light of Knowledge is a weekly program broadcast on VTV1 produced by the Documentary Film Center, honoring Vietnamese scientists , famous experts, role models, and groups in many fields in the new century. According to the program's introduction, Labor Hero of the Renovation Period Thai Huong, President of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association, Founder of TH Group , from the vision of a patriotic entrepreneur with the desire to contribute to improving the stature, physical strength and intelligence of Vietnamese people, has continuously acquired knowledge in many fields, applied the world's leading science and technology to production and life, led the team of experts, scientists and researchers of the enterprise to conduct systematic research in the field of food and nutrition, created clean fresh milk revolutions, nutritional revolutions in Vietnam, and was the one who proposed the construction of the School Nutrition Law.
Labor Hero Thai Huong has made many contributions to the stature of Vietnamese children and people.
Highlights of her contributions include: since 2013, she has led TH Group to become a pioneer in the National School Milk Program, taking the lead in building models and cooperating with experts from the Institute of Nutrition and French experts in researching and testing products.
"TH true MILK Sterilized Fresh Milk for School Milk" is the first product to be confirmed by the Ministry of Health to be effective in research to improve the nutritional and micronutrient status of children, and is a practical basis for promulgating the School Milk standard in the National School Milk Project, by Decision No. 1340/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, contributing to reducing the situation of bringing milk of unknown origin and not ensuring food hygiene and safety into schools. The program has created an effect, thereby contributing to many clear steps forward in the implementation of school nutrition, providing opportunities to access milk - appropriate nutrition for children, including children in remote areas.

In 2019, Labor Hero Thai Huong continued to lead TH Group to accompany the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health and independent experts, referring to practical experiences of developed countries in the world (Japan) to implement the "School meal model ensuring proper nutrition combined with increasing physical activities for children, pupils and students."
The pilot model was implemented in the 2020-2021 school year at 10 schools in 10 provinces and cities, representing 5 major ecological regions across the country, including: Northern mountainous region, Red River Delta, Central region, Mekong River Delta and Central Highlands. The pilot model is approached in the direction of using completely natural foods, based on the agricultural advantages of the region, fresh milk is scientifically included in the meal composition. The main intervention of the pilot model is 400 diverse, balanced, micronutrient-rich school meal menus, afternoon snacks using 1 glass of fresh milk to improve calcium intake, combining nutrition education and physical education (through 130 compiled exercises and 60 compiled games suitable for each age group) to help students improve their health and physical development. Nutrition education is also one of the contents that is especially focused on in the model when staff, teachers, students, and parents are all taught and trained about proper nutrition for children, and kitchen staff are trained.

The results of the pilot model showed that the height and weight of children had significantly improved compared to the comparison group and were evaluated by the Ministry of Education and Training as a comprehensive solution for nutrition and physical training to help solve the double burden of malnutrition and overweight, obesity, and the risk of chronic non-communicable diseases in Vietnamese children. This is the basis for the recommendation to develop the School Nutrition Law.
At many forums, she frankly expressed this opinion and recommendation. Recently, representing the business community speaking before General Secretary To Lam on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2024), Labor Hero Thai Huong also gave a profound speech, sharing the aspirations and strategic vision for the future of businesses and the country, emphasizing the issue of height and stature of Vietnamese people.
Ms. Thai Huong expressed that in order for our nation to enter a new era, an era of national growth, in addition to the economy, we need to pay attention to the "growth" in height, in other words, the stature of Vietnamese people. Currently, the average height of Vietnamese people ranks 15th from the bottom in the world, a number worth pondering. In recent years, Vietnam has achieved many achievements in improving the nutritional status of its people, but many nutritional problems still exist, especially in preschool and school age.
"I think that a law called the School Nutrition Law is needed to set standards for school meals, thereby protecting children and improving the stature and health of future generations. Science has proven that about 86% of a person's maximum height is achieved under the age of 12, this is the stage that determines the maximum development of each person's stature, physical strength and intelligence. Therefore, the issue of caring for children's nutrition at this stage, especially school nutrition, is very urgent, including perfecting mechanisms and policies," the Founder of TH Group emphasized.
Before the Knowledge Light Gala, the "humanitarian" efforts of Labor Hero Thai Huong have been recognized many times. In 2023, she was honored by the United Nations Office in Geneva (UNOG) in "17 Vietnamese Action Faces for Sustainable Development". She is the first and only representative of Vietnam to be honored by CSRWorks International in the list of Top 10 'Women for Sustainable Development' 2021 in Asia. At the 20th World Knowledge Forum (WKF), she was the only Vietnamese woman invited to speak and later received the Power Businesswoman Award. In 2024, Ms. Thai Huong was the only leader in Asia to be honored as "Outstanding Visionary Leader" at the Global Brand Awards.
