Match schedule of Vietnam Team at the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship

In the group stage of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group A, and will face Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong).

The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship (ASEAN Cup 2025) takes place from August 6 to 19 at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ) and Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).

This year's tournament brings together 8 teams, including host Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, U23 Australia, Philippines, Myanmar and Timor Leste.

The Vietnamese women's team is in Group A with Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Group A matches will take place at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) from August 6-12.

According to the match schedule, Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will begin their journey to conquer the championship with a match against the Cambodian team (August 6).

Next, the Vietnamese team will face Indonesia (August 9) and close the group stage with a "big match" with the Thai team (August 12).

The matches of the Vietnam Team in the group stage all take place at 19:30.


Thailand is considered a tough opponent and will compete for the top spot in Group A with host Vietnam.

Before facing the Vietnamese team, Thailand will face Indonesia (August 6) and Cambodia (August 9).

To best prepare for the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, on the afternoon of August 3, the Thai women's team officially arrived in Hai Phong city and was arranged to stay at the Mercure Hotel. Under the leadership of Head Coach Futoshi Ikeda, the Thai women's team brought 23 players to Vietnam.

Group B includes defending champion Philippines and Myanmar, U23 Australia, Timor Leste teams; held in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ).

In Group B, the Philippines is highly rated for the top spot, while the remaining ticket will likely be a competition between U23 Australia and Myanmar.

According to the match schedule, the Philippines team will face Timor Leste (August 7), U23 Australia (August 10) and Myanmar (August 13).

2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Tournament Schedule.

According to the format, the teams compete in a round robin to select the top two teams in each group to enter the semi-finals.

The Vietnamese women's football team has reached the finals of this tournament six times, winning the championship three times in 2006, 2012 and 2019.

Thailand is the team with the most championships with 4 times, while the Philippines is the current champion thanks to the strategy of naturalizing players.

To prepare for this year's tournament, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team have been in Hai Phong since July 30 and have been practicing to achieve the best results.

In the most recent training session, Coach Mai Duc Chung arranged for the whole team to start with warm-up exercises, passing the ball to get familiar with the field, before moving on to pressing exercises in a narrow space and ending with technical and tactical coordination exercises.

As planned, on August 4, the Vietnamese women's team will move to the Mercure Hai Phong Hotel - the official accommodation arranged by the organizing committee.


On August 5, Head Coach Mai Duc Chung will attend a pre-tournament press conference with the teams of Group A in Hai Phong city./.
