On May 5, 2023, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province held a ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at A1 Martyrs' Cemetery on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2023).
