The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that this morning, June 10, the tropical depression was about 360km east-southeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago.

The strongest wind is level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting to level 8. This form moves slowly to the West, at a speed of about 5km/h. In the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move to the West at a speed of about 5km/h and is likely to strengthen.

The forecast location on June 11 is about 240km east-southeast of the Paracel Islands . Winds are at level 6-7, gusting to level 9. The risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is at level 3, affecting the northern East Sea (including the Paracel Islands) and the northern sea area of the central East Sea.

On June 12, the tropical depression is likely to strengthen into storm No. 1, moving west-northwest at a speed of 10-15km/h. The storm is currently located in the Hoang Sa archipelago.

Once it becomes a storm, this form is likely to change direction, moving in a North-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10 km/h and is likely to continue to strengthen.

Currently, in the North East Sea and the northern part of the central East Sea, there are thunderstorms, strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9, rough seas, and waves 2-4m high. Ships in the dangerous area should be aware of the high risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves./.

Tropical depression is still unpredictable

Last night, June 9, the meteorological agency assessed that atmospheric systems affecting tropical pressure areas such as the southwest monsoon, subtropical high pressure... are still fluctuating and unstable.

This makes the trajectory and intensity of the system's development still uncertain. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly monitor forecasts to have a way to prevent it.
