Arsenal sells Martinelli to Bayern Munich for sky-high price

As soon as Bayern Munich expressed their desire to have Martinelli's service, Arsenal put the asking price at 50 million pounds.

Exclusive sources from Bild said that Bayern's big boss sees Martinelli as a good choice to fill the void left by Leroy Sane.

Previously, the Gray Tigers also kept an eye on Nico Williams, but the possibility of the Spanish winger moving to Barcelona is very high.

Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz are also on the radar. However, Gabriel Martinelli is more feasible because Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old striker.

Coach Mikel Arteta wants to get rid of the surplus players in the squad to increase the transfer budget. In addition to Martinelli, they also plan to sell Zinchenko, Reiss Nelson, Kiwior and Fabio Vieira.

Martinelli joined the Gunners from Ituano for just £5m in 2019. His contract with Arsenal runs until 2027.

According to The Athletic, the London team is asking for a fee of £50 million if Bayern Munich wants to sign Martinelli.
