Arsenal are actively looking for a top-class striker to upgrade their attack for the new season, and Benjamin Sesko is currently the top target in coach Mikel Arteta's transfer plan.

The 21-year-old Slovenian striker made a strong impression for RB Leipzig last season, attracting the attention of many European giants.

Arsenal consider Sesko an ideal piece to complete a squad capable of competing for the Premier League title and competing in the Champions League next season.

According to many sources, Arsenal and Sesko have reached a personal agreement. However, the deal is still facing major obstacles related to the transfer fee.

RB Leipzig are demanding up to €100m (£85.5m), while Arsenal want to negotiate a more reasonable price.

New sporting director Andrea Berta is working with Arteta to resolve the issue soon.

Arsenal aim to complete the deal so that Sesko can be available for the opening match of the 2025/26 Premier League season against MU on August 17.
