Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Acting Secretary of Ben Tre Province, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of Ben Tre Province.
On March 22, Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee held a conference to deploy the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and many central and local leaders.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, announced the Politburo 's Decision approving Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen to hold the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
In her acceptance speech, the new Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Ho Thi Hoang Yen expressed her deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Party Committees, and the cadres, party members and people of Ben Tre province for their trust and support in the past time.
Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen affirmed that, in more than a year holding the position of Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, she and the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee have united, unified, and joined forces to lead and direct the implementation of the Provincial Party Committee's resolutions, achieving many important results.
The new Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee pledged to be dedicated, to overcome all difficulties, and to unite with the provincial leadership to successfully carry out political tasks in 2025 and the following years.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, congratulated Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen on being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Politburo. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen requested Ben Tre province to focus on completing the goals and tasks assigned by the Party Congress, especially socio-economic growth, aiming for a growth target of over 8%; Reorganizing the apparatus and staff in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner; Thoroughly grasping and implementing Directive 35 of the Politburo on preparing for Party Congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress; Widely implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
