Phu Tho and the “green passport”: Businesses seek a sustainable path to reach out to the world

In the context of the global shift towards green economy, circular economy and sustainable development, many enterprises in Phu Tho province have proactively innovated production, applied environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards to improve competitiveness and expand export markets. Green production is becoming the "golden key" to help Dat To enterprises firmly integrate into the international market.

Standardizing the entire management system according to many international standards has helped AMY overcome the "technical barriers" of the export market.

Green production and sustainable development are becoming mandatory “passports” for Vietnamese enterprises to reach out to the world , especially when large markets such as the EU, the US, Japan... increasingly apply strict standards on environment, labor and governance. Realizing this, many enterprises in Phu Tho have considered sustainable development as the “backbone” of their long-term strategy.

A typical example is AMY Industrial Joint Stock Company (AMY GRUPO) - one of the leading tiling materials companies in Vietnam. After more than 10 years of development, AMY has not only affirmed its position domestically but also conquered demanding markets such as the Middle East, Taiwan (China), Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US. The company's products meet diverse customer tastes, especially the young generation - a consumer group that is shaping new standards of quality and environmental friendliness.

One of the key factors helping AMY GRUPO move quickly on the path of sustainable development is investing in new technology and circular production.

To meet the increasing demands, AMY has standardized the entire management system according to many international standards, including: Environmental and energy management system; occupational health and safety standards; human rights standards according to the Code of Conduct (BSCI); carbon footprint audit management system (ISO 14064 and ISO 14067).

Investing in green technology - reaping economic benefits

One of the key factors that helps AMY GRUPO move quickly on the path of sustainable development is boldly investing in new technology and circular production.

The company has implemented a comprehensive environmental management and social responsibility system: Periodically audit the energy consumption of each machine and equipment; measure the amount of waste and carbon footprint to find solutions to reduce it; increase the reuse and recycling of materials and use of alternative energy sources; apply a circular production process, strictly control each stage from design, production, packaging to transportation to reduce emissions and meet traceability requirements.

Currently, AMY GRUPO is creating stable jobs for more than 2,300 workers.

Thanks to this strategy, in just the first 9 months of 2025, AMY GRUPO's revenue increased by more than 19%, contributing twice as much to the budget as in the same period. Currently, the company creates stable jobs for more than 2,300 employees (more than 4 times higher than when it was first established in 2015), of which 90% are local workers.

Not only AMY GRUPO, the spirit of green production also spreads to Viet Duc Steel Group (VGS). In the coming period, Phu Tho enterprises continue to aim to upgrade technology, expand production scale in line with green standards, increase the rate of renewable energy use, and expand export markets to European and North American countries - markets with high demands on quality and environmental standards.

Green production efforts of enterprises not only bring economic value but also contribute to environmental protection, improve the quality of life and affirm the position of Vietnamese enterprises in the international arena. This is the inevitable path towards a sustainable economic development, making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Phu Tho province and the country.
