On the evening of December 22, the concert and art performance program Unforgettable Song with the theme Forgetting Yourself for the People took place at Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

This is one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day - directed by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Attending the program were National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man ; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee;

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Mr. Le Tan Toi - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security;

Mr. Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Vividly recreate the heroic history of the nation

After 10 years of organization, this is the first time the program is held outdoors. The entire event space is decorated with 1,500 national and military flags.

In addition, Unforgettable Song has a large stage system with a width of up to 55m, using modern equipment with a variety of effects for the performances.

The program consists of 3 chapters with 17 special performances.

Fatherland in the heart are heroic songs that create the eternal historical value of the Vietnam People's Army.

The song "Never Forget" aims to pay tribute to the great contributions and sacrifices of the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in the resistance wars, to gain independence and freedom for the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people; at the same time, it honors the values ​​and great sacrifices of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.

Selflessly sacrificing for the people is an affirmation of the everlasting values ​​and aspiration for innovation to rise up and stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers of the Vietnam People's Army in the new era - the era of national growth.

The event gathered more than 1,000 professional artists and actors such as Hanh Thuy, Pham The Vi, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Phuong Anh; singers Cam Van, Duc Tuan, Ho Trung Dung, Phan Manh Quynh, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Pham Trang, Viet Danh; MTV group, violinist Trinh Minh Hien, Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra, Saigon Choice Choir, Saigon Winds Orchestra, bands from Hanoi, along with soldiers, youth union members, students...

The concert and performance program Unforgettable Song is about 120 minutes long.

The performances were elaborately staged through the form of dramatization, vividly recreating the heroic history of the nation and the Vietnam People's Army in its 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing.

Singer Cam Van moved the audience with the soulful melody of the song Mother's Legend .

Phan Manh Quynh pushed the audience's emotions to a climax, that is the feeling of nostalgia and choking with "Take me home" .

Immediately after that, singer Duc Tuan performed Linh Thieng Viet Nam , creating a flow of emotions combined with the image of lighting candles as a tribute to the heroes who sacrificed for independence and freedom.

Singers Ho Trung Dung and Phuong Anh performed the main song of the show "Unforgettable Song" bringing many emotions to the audience.

During the program, the audience also enjoyed heroic melodies praising national pride and the heroic fighting spirit of the People's Army: Tien Quan Ca, Chien Si Viet Nam, Doan Ve Quoc Quan, Nam Bo Khang Chien, Giai Melo To Quoc...

Especially the medley Marching under the Military Flag - Forgetting oneself for the people, performed by all the artists, actors and the orchestra, created a proud melody. The whole audience stood up, clapped, waved flags, and sang along with the song.
