Hai Phong : Garbage from the ocean and estuaries was carried by waves to flood the beaches in Co To and Do Son during the holidays, forcing the local authorities to mobilize hundreds of people to clean up.
On the morning of April 30, southerly waves brought trash and foam buoys from the ocean and mainland coastal areas to Tinh Yeu beach on Co To island, Quang Ninh province, causing environmental pollution and loss of beauty.
Previously, on April 28, garbage also flooded beach 295 in Do Son Tourist Area, Hai Phong City. The main types of garbage were water hyacinth, seaweed, and plastic items that drifted from the river mouth to the sea and were washed up by waves onto the beaches.

In order not to affect tourism activities, from 5am today (April 30), units and businesses organized to clean up the beach. "After about 3 hours, the entire beach was cleaned," said Mr. Nguyen Hai Linh, Head of the Department of Culture, Information and Tourism of Co To district.
This afternoon, the district continued to clean up because trash was still showing signs of flooding the island.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, due to the hot weather, coastal tourist areas are chosen by people for travel. The beaches are always crowded with people every afternoon.
According to statistics, Do Son district welcomes tens of thousands of tourists every day, and Co To island district welcomes over 27,000 tourists during the three holidays.
