According to the report, Implementing the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 Period, Phase I: From 2021 to 2025 (National Target Program 1719), in 2024, Dak Lak province was assigned nearly 990 billion VND. Together with the capital transferred from 2022 and 2023, the total capital implemented in 2024 is more than 2,549 billion VND. Since the beginning of the year, the disbursement of the assigned capital in 2024 has been nearly 81.4 billion VND, reaching 8.22% of the plan.

Regarding ethnic policies implemented by the Ethnic Committee, up to now, the Ethnic Committee has issued decisions on allocating the state budget estimates and plans to implement each policy in 2024.

Conference Overview

Specifically, implementing Sub-project 4 Project 5 National Target Program 1719, the Dak Lak Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee organized a working group of 27 people, including 4 leaders of the Ethnic Minorities Committee and 23 district and commune officials implementing the National Target Program 1719 in 4 districts of Cu M'gar, Lak, Ea H'leo, Krong Ana to study and exchange experiences in implementing the National Target Program 1719 in the provinces and cities: Hanoi , Hoa Binh, Phu Tho; issued a Plan to implement the Project "Promoting propaganda on drug crime prevention and control" in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Dak Lak province; developed a plan to implement Content No. 01 Sub-project 2 Project 5 on fostering ethnic knowledge under the National Target Program 1719 in the province.

In addition, the Ethnic Committee has advised on the Proposal to issue a Decision to establish the Steering Committee for the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024; organized the first meeting of the Congress Steering Committee and advised the Head of the Congress Steering Committee to issue documents. At the same time, established Working Groups to work with the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities on the preparation and organization of the 4th District-level Congress of Ethnic Minorities. To date, 15/15 districts, towns and cities have established Steering Committees; Organizing Committees, Sub-committees to assist the Congress; most districts, towns and cities have issued a Plan to organize the District-level Congress.

In addition, the Ethnic Committee also advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents and implement specific tasks.

Implementing the tasks of the second quarter, the Dak Lak Provincial Ethnic Committee proactively grasped the situation of political security, social order and safety, and life and production in ethnic minority areas; promptly advised on the effective resolution of arising issues, aiming to stabilize ethnic minority areas; continued to effectively implement the National Target Program 1719; deployed contents related to the organization of the 4th Congress of ethnic minority delegates at district and provincial levels in 2024 ...

At the meeting, delegates discussed issues related to the implementation of the National Target Program 1719; preparations for the district-level Ethnic Minority Congress and exchanged solutions to overcome difficulties.
