“Hanoi - Epic of the City” is a special program in the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, with a combination of music , light and modern 3D mapping technology performances. At 8:10 p.m. on October 10, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Hanoi People's Committee will coordinate with Vietnam Television to organize a special live broadcast of the political and artistic program "Hanoi - Epic of the City" at the World Heritage Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel - Hanoi.
The program "Hanoi - Epic of the City" will include 3 chapters: Battlefield in the city, 9 years in the forest, still the capital, Song of Hanoi, in which there will be meetings with many historical witnesses such as: Meritorious Artist Phung De - a veteran war cameraman. During the 60 days and nights of fighting to protect Hanoi citadel in 1946, he was only a 13-year-old guard, working as a liaison for units in the citadel, present in the historic retreat on February 17, 1947; Ms. Pham Thi Vien - a 22-year-old female self-defense member of Mai Dong Mechanical Factory, wearing a white mourning scarf, still steadfastly standing next to the artillery to protect the sky of Hanoi and contributing to the downing of the F111A aircraft on the night of December 22, 1972; Mr. Hoang Quan Tao - Head of the group distributing documents of the inner city campaign.

The story that “Hanoi - Epic of the City” brings throughout the 70-year historical journey to Liberation Day, generations of children and grandchildren of Hanoi people continue to build and preserve the Capital with the love passed down from their ancestors, with their own creativity and strong vitality.
At the same time, the development of the Capital through the ages will be recreated through 3D mapping projections of the projects that have been and are being built, and the major projects of the future are proof of that strong and brilliant vitality.

The highlight of the program is the participation of many famous singers and artists such as: People's Artist Tan Minh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Hong Nhung, Tung Duong, Trong Tan, Vu Thang Loi, Pham Thu Ha, Bao Tram, Ta Quang Thang, To Loan, Dong Hung, Le Anh Dung, Oplus band, Tuong Linh, Violinist Minh Hien, Violinist Hai Ngoc with songs that have been around for years, famous songs about Hanoi associated with many historical periods of the Capital, mashup with new colors. The Organizing Committee arranges free parking spots along the sidewalks of Hoang Dieu Street (from No. 1 to No. 9 Hoang Dieu), Dien Bien Phu Street (in the area of the Vietnam Military History Museum).
