Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board: Accelerating implementation and improving public investment efficiency

Speed up implementation and improve efficiency of public investment

The Board has focused on organizational work, perfecting the personnel apparatus, issuing working regulations and assigning clear tasks to each affiliated unit. By mid-July 2025, the total number of officers, civil servants and employees of the Board was 384, of which 140 worked at the main agency and 244 worked at the Management Boards. regional project management

As of July 15, 2025, the Board is directly managing and implementing 65 projects in many fields: education , health, culture - sports, labor - society, administrative headquarters... Among them are many key projects of large scale, technical complexity and high progress requirements. Project management is carried out systematically and seriously. All projects have assigned staff to closely monitor progress, disbursement and implementation volume. The unit also proactively prepares implementation plans and detailed disbursement plans as a basis for management.

In particular, in the bidding work, the Board has organized the approval of contractor selection plans for 217 bidding packages in 37 projects, with a total value of more than 3,220 billion VND. The main form of contractor selection is open bidding, ensuring competition and transparency. The results of contractor selection show that the post-bidding savings rate reached 10.49%, contributing to saving tens of billions of VND for the State budget.

The total investment capital allocated for 2025 is over VND 5,701 billion. By July 9, 2025, the Board had disbursed over VND 1,930 billion, reaching a rate of nearly 34%. At the same time, it completed the settlement of 19 projects with a total value of nearly VND 3,000 billion.

Site monitoring is carried out periodically and suddenly; construction supervision and acceptance work is closely coordinated between specialized departments, supervision consultants and investors. Maintenance and warranty work after project completion is also closely monitored, ensuring the interests of the State, while improving the longevity and efficiency of investment.

Determining the direction and tasks from now until the end of 2025, the Board focuses on removing obstacles in mechanisms and organizations; speeding up the disbursement of investment capital; completing and putting into use the works on schedule; at the same time ensuring the factors of quality, technique, aesthetics, labor safety and environmental sanitation. Focusing on adjusting the detailed disbursement plan to suit the reality; strengthening inspection and supervision of the site; promoting bidding and acceptance; applying technology to project management; strengthening training and arranging staff with the right capacity; enhancing the responsibility of contractors in construction and completion.

At the same time, the Board also continues to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to promptly remove procedural and legal difficulties for regional Project Management Boards so that these units can operate effectively, contributing to improving the quality of project management and implementation in the province./.
