Thai Thuy District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board: Focus on improving the quality of construction works

Over the past years, the Thai Thuy District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board has made efforts to complete projects to ensure progress and quality. Thereby, contributing to bringing a new look to the district's infrastructure system in accordance with the goals set by the Thai Thuy District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

The Thai Thuy District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board was assigned by the District People's Committee to be the investor and representative of the investor to directly manage and organize the implementation of construction investment projects in the district. In recent years, the field of basic construction investment management of the Management Board has changed, initially changing the structure and improving investment efficiency in a positive direction. The works implemented by the unit have been highly appreciated by departments, branches and investors for their quality, progress, labor safety and environmental sanitation. In 2023, the District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board will implement 16 projects, of which 11 projects are under construction. The Management Board is accelerating the progress of a number of key projects such as: the project to build planned road No. 5 from Diem Ho river dike to planned road No. 2, Thai Thuy district; total investment capital of more than 90 billion VND, construction time of 18 months; The construction volume completed to date is estimated at 50 billion VND. The project to build planned route No. 2, from the coastal road to provincial road DT.461, Thai Thuy district, with a total investment of more than 149 billion VND, construction time of 20 months; the construction volume completed to date is estimated at more than 51 billion VND. The project of the District Cultural and Sports Center (phase 2), with a total investment of more than 45 billion VND, construction time of 18 months; currently, the construction unit has completed piling, digging the foundation, reinforcing the foundation and pouring concrete to complete the construction of the foundation wall...

According to Mr. Bui The Dan, Director of the District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board: In the process of implementing investment procedures for construction works, the Management Board has proactively and actively followed the instructions of all levels, departments and branches, coordinated with localities and related units to carry out investment preparation steps in accordance with the basic construction investment procedures; urgently and resolutely directed and managed the projects, ensuring the right progress. Right from the implementation, the work of preparing investment preparation documents for the projects has been focused on from the basic design step, selecting competent consultants with professional experience, complying with standards, suitable for use, saving investment costs... In addition, the Management Board always emphasizes and strengthens the supervision of the project construction site. Items and works are accepted in accordance with the process, achieving quality and ensuring progress. Along with assigning regular supervision tasks to qualified staff, the Management Board closely coordinates with specialized departments and divisions in construction work to ensure objective construction works; organizes acceptance of items in accordance with regulations on construction quality management.

In addition to focusing on professional work, speeding up progress, ensuring the quality of works, the issue of building a team of cadres who are worthy of the task in the current new situation is always of concern to the District Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board. Currently, the number of cadres and employees working at the unit is 19 people, of which 17 have university degrees. Every year, the Management Board always creates favorable conditions for civil servants and employees to study to improve their professional qualifications and skills; participate in studying and fostering political theory. Thanks to that, project management work is getting better and more professional, speeding up progress, shortening the construction time of completed projects put into use, contributing to improving the efficiency of using investment capital for projects.

In the coming time, the District Infrastructure Project Management Board will focus on implementing solutions on organizing and managing construction projects, improving the selection and management of contractors, and investment preparation for projects, focusing on urging and accelerating the progress of projects under construction to soon complete and put them into use.
