Over the past many student football seasons, Thuy Loi University has always emerged as a football team with a rich tradition, ranked among the top two in the national school sports playground. In the recent national student tournament of the Ministry of Education and Training, the team finished third in 2023. In the Vietnamese Youth Student Football Tournament organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper and VFF, Thuy Loi University team finished second twice in 2023 and 2024. They were only unlucky to lose in the 11m penalty shootout against Hue University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports.

Returning to the national student playground after nearly 2 years of hiatus, the Thuy Loi University team continued to assert its strength when it easily won the qualifying round in the northern region. In the decisive play-off match, the team crushed the University of Transport and Communications, the team that won the national student tournament in 2023. Under the leadership of experienced and talented coach Vu Van Trung, the Thuy Loi University team is not only considered the strongest and most experienced team in Group C but also a strong candidate for the championship. In the hands of Mr. Trung, with many excellent names such as Hoang Danh, Xuan Truong, Duc Hoan, the team representing the capital is fully capable of causing difficulties for any other team.

Also in Group C is a notable name, Dong Thap University. From being a team that has only been invested in for the past year, the team from the Southwest region has made rapid progress. In the two most recent tournaments that Dong Thap University participated in, the Dong Thap University Cup and the Southern region qualifying round, the team reached the finals, once finishing second (losing to Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports) and most recently convincingly defeating Can Tho University, winning the regional championship. The achievements have been increasing thanks to the even squad and the dedication of the coaching staff led by coach Joao Pedro and two assistants, both former Dong Thap players, Nguyen Van Moc and Nguyen Van Hau. Dong Thap University is considered a new explosive force that can cause surprises in this group.

In Group C, there are two other formidable names. The Nong Lam University team, which was the runner-up in the 2023 Ministry of Education and Training student tournament, has recently been strengthened quite strongly under the guidance of coach Phan Hoang Vu (son of former famous player Phan Kim Lan of Nghia Binh). The remaining team, Nha Trang University, is also very progressive. In 2024, the team stumbled at the last minute against Quy Nhon University in the final round of the qualifying round of the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in the South Central region. But this year, the Nha Trang University team will be noticed because they will be the host team of the final round of the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament season 4 in 2026.

Meanwhile, Van Lang University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education will have an easier time when meeting Phuong Dong University and University of Information and Communication Technology (Thai Nguyen University) in group B. Meanwhile, defending champion Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports will meet Ton Duc Thang University in a group with the Academy of Agriculture and Tan Trao University.

The final round will be held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology from November 18 to November 23 (group stage), November 25 (quarter-finals), November 27 (semi-finals) and November 29 (final). The group stage will have 4 matches per day (2 matches in the morning from 7:30 am, 2 matches in the afternoon from 1 pm). The opening match at 7:30 am on November 18 will take place between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hue University. The champion team will receive 80 million VND, second place 50 million VND, third place 30 million VND, style 10 million VND and other individual prizes.
