Ensuring safe and efficient power supply and economical use of electricity

In 2024, Bac Giang Electricity Company faces many difficulties and challenges in production and business activities such as: Extreme heat waves continue to occur over a large area; Storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) causes heavy losses to the electricity industry; the power generation capacity of some factories is limited...

With the proactive, creative and flexible management and operation of the leaders and the efforts of all officers and employees, in 2024, the Company overcame challenges, ensuring safe and stable power supply to serve socio -economic development and people's lives in the province. Commercial electricity output reached more than 6.56 billion kWh, an increase of 9.5% compared to 2023, making it the 5th largest commercial electricity output unit in the Northern Power Corporation.

The targets for power loss, construction investment, business, customer service, digital transformation, etc. all met and exceeded the plan assigned by superiors. The amount of electricity saved reached more than 138.3 million kWh.

Along with electricity supply, Bac Giang Electricity Company regularly coordinates with media agencies and the Department of Industry and Trade to inform, propagate and advise customers on safe, economical and efficient use of electricity; improving service quality.

In 2025, the Company sets a target of commercial electricity output of more than 7.32 billion kWh, an increase of 11.6% compared to 2024.

At the conference, delegates listened to experts from Vietnam Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company (VETS) introduce programs to support the implementation of energy-saving investment projects; business representatives shared experiences in using energy economically; proposed solutions for the electricity industry and Bac Giang province to support and ensure safe and stable electricity supply for businesses to proactively and effectively produce.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Van Thinh acknowledged the positive contributions of the Electricity sector to the overall development of the province. At the same time, he shared with the Electricity sector the difficulties in investing in expanding power sources and grids, management and operation in the context of complex climate change, along with fluctuations in the global energy market.

He informed that Bac Giang has had a rapid economic growth rate in the recent period, and the industrial sector has been identified as the main driving force for growth. In 2025, the province was assigned by the Government an economic growth target of 13.6%, the highest in the country, so the demand for electricity for industry is very large.

He requested the Northern Power Corporation and power units to proactively mobilize capital, actively coordinate with departments, branches and localities to speed up the construction progress of power projects, and pay attention to building and renovating the 110 kV power grid.

Request the Department of Industry and Trade to survey customers' opinions on electricity usage on smartphone software to promptly synthesize customers' recommendations and suggestions to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Electricity industry to propose solutions to improve service quality.

The Electricity Industry and the Department of Industry and Trade strengthen supervision, inspection and assessment of service quality after the low-voltage grid, especially for non-state enterprises and cooperatives participating in electricity supply.

Actively promote and disseminate to people the importance of using electricity economically. Timely check, remind and reward customers who use electricity economically. Strengthen propaganda and advice on electricity safety for customers, to prevent fires and explosions caused by electricity.

Comrade Pham Van Thinh suggested that large electricity-consuming enterprises invest in installing rooftop solar power to increase power sources and reduce supply pressure for the electricity industry.

Representatives of agencies and units received Certificates of Merit from the Northern Power Corporation.

Speaking here, Mr. Do Van Nam thanked the provincial leaders and electricity customers for their attention. Mr. Do Van Nam requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to continue to pay attention and support in administrative procedures; site clearance; and approve investment policies for electricity projects in the province that the Corporation is implementing in the area.

At the conference, 16 typical agencies, units and enterprises were awarded by the Northern Power Corporation for their many contributions to the Electricity industry and the use of energy economically and efficiently.
