(CLO) On November 9, in Can Tho City,Education & Times Newspaper (GD&TĐ) held the opening ceremony of its representative office in the Mekong Delta region.
Pursuant to Decision No. 2436 dated August 22, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training on the regulations of functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Education and Training Newspaper. In response to the requirements of developing Representative Agencies in localities, including the Representative Office in the Mekong Delta.
With the support and arrangement of the location of the Representative Office by the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the Editorial Board of the Education and Training Newspaper decided to invest, repair and upgrade the Liaison Office in Can Tho City (established in 2004) into a Representative Office in the Mekong Delta.

This is also a practical project to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of GD&TĐ Newspaper. The representative office of GD&TĐ Newspaper in the Mekong Delta is located at 39 3/2 Street, Xuan Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City (next to the headquarters of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City).
Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Training Newspaper, said that in addition to the headquarters in Hanoi and the permanent office in Ho Chi Minh City, nationwide, Education and Training Newspaper has 5 representative offices including: Northwest Office, Viet Bac, North Central, Central Highlands and Mekong Delta.
“With new developments and task requirements in the new situation, I request the staff and reporters of the Representative Office in the Mekong Delta to uphold the spirit of solidarity; to wholeheartedly serve readers.
The Editorial Board of GD&TĐ Newspaper presented the decisions to Journalist Nguyen Anh Tu and Journalist Nguyen Quoc Ngu.

According to the establishment decision, the GD&TĐ Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta will be under the direct direction of the Editor-in-Chief, have its own seal and open a bank account.
Journalist Nguyen Anh Tu, Deputy Head of the GD&TĐ Newspaper's Resident Office in Ho Chi Minh City, was assigned to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the GD&TĐ Newspaper's Representative Office in the Mekong Delta.
