In the semi-final match of the Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship on the evening of June 16, the Vietnamese U19 Women's Team easily defeated the Indonesian U19 Women's Team with a score of 4-0. Commenting on the defeat of the Indonesian U19 women's team, the country's press expressed "convinced" as the home team was much weaker than the Vietnamese U19 women's team.
Antara newspaper commented: “The Indonesian U19 women's team lost 0-4 to the Vietnamese U19 women's team in the semi-final of the Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship held at Thong Nhat Stadium. This defeat caused the team from the archipelago country to miss out on a ticket to the final.
However, this is a worthy result when the U19 women's team of Vietnam showed their superiority. They dominated the game right from the opening whistle and threatened the Indonesian goal many times. After losing by 4 goals, the U19 women of Indonesia had to be satisfied when entering the third place match with Myanmar.
Bola Sport newspaper emphasized: “Without time to prepare, the Indonesian U19 women's team was crushed 0-4 by the Vietnamese U19 women's team. In the Southeast Asian U19 women's tournament, the Indonesian U19 women's team relied too much on Australian-born player Sari Hopper. However, she alone was not enough to make a difference when the quality of the Indonesian U19 women's team was not high. They easily lost 4-0 to the host U19 women's team Vietnam in the semi-finals.”

Tempo newspaper believes that Vietnam's U19 women's team is a strong candidate for the championship after easily defeating Indonesia's U19 women's team with a score of 4-0.
Meanwhile, Kompas newspaper said that this was an unsuccessful tournament for the U19 women's team of Indonesia. In the whole tournament, they only won 1 victory against the U19 women of Malaysia. The U19 women of Indonesia could not create a surprise against the invincible U19 women of Vietnam. Conductor Sari Hopper was like a lone bird and could not turn the match around.
The final match of the Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship between Vietnam U19 Women and Thailand U19 Women will take place at 6:30 p.m. on June 18 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
