Previously, Tran Thanh Trung had participated in many training trips of U22 Vietnam but this was the first time he participated in an important tournament of Vietnamese football. Thanh Trung promises to help improve the midfield of U22 Vietnam significantly. This player has the ability to distribute the ball skillfully and is used to playing at high intensity in Europe.
Thanh Trung’s experience playing for the Bulgaria U21 team will be of great help to the Vietnam U22 team. However, the team does not have the strongest squad as key midfielder Van Truong is absent due to a knee injury. In addition, two key players, Nguyen Dinh Bac and Pham Minh Phuc, will be absent from the opening match against Laos U22.
