According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Bao Yen District, the terrible flash flood on the evening of September 10 caused catastrophic damage to the people of Lang Nu. To date, the total number of dead and missing victims is 66, of which 13 are missing.

Sharing the pain and loss with the people of Lang Nu, Nhan Dan Newspaper and businesses donated 100 million VND to help the people here stabilize their lives soon.
Journalist Ta Quang Dung, Head of the Department - Head of the Resident Reporter Management Board, Nhan Dan Newspaper, shared: "The terrible flash flood has passed, but the pain of losing people and property of the people is still very great. The whole country is looking towards the people of Lang Nu. All levels, sectors and the whole society are making efforts to rebuild a new village for the people here. With the social responsibility of Party journalists and the generosity of businesses, Nhan Dan Newspaper and sponsors contributed a part of the budget to promptly support and rebuild a new village for the people of Lang Nu."
Earlier, on the same morning, representatives of Nhan Dan Newspaper and representatives of businesses came to share and give 100 million VND in support to people in Van Yen district, Yen Bai province, to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
