Special publications
Within the framework of the event, Nhan Dan Newspaper introduced 3 outstanding products.
The first is the book “Uncle Ho’s Articles on Culture and Journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper”, a collection of typical articles by President Ho Chi Minh published in Nhan Dan Newspaper, reflecting his ideology, ethics, style and vision on culture and journalism. This is a valuable document, not only helping readers understand Uncle Ho’s role in shaping revolutionary journalism but also serving as a guideline for generations of journalists.
This is a publication jointly edited and published by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the National Political Publishing House Truth. Out of more than 1,200 articles by Uncle Ho published in Nhan Dan Newspaper, 300 representative articles were selected for publication.
The book is divided into 3 parts according to time frames:
Part I - Articles in the years 1951-1954;
Part II - Articles from 1955-1959;
Part III - Articles from 1960-1969.
The second publication is a special issue of June 21, 2025, with the stature of a memorial work, a historical summary, a tribute to the past, and at the same time a professional manifesto for the future.
The issue is organized in a coherent, consistent and symbolic 5-part layout: "Origin-Mission (1925-1945)", "Journalist-Soldier (1945-1975)", "Accompanying Innovation (1975-2025)", "I Tell Our Story" and "Journalism in the Digital Age".
The gathering of a strong, multi-generational team of authors is the factor that creates the special identity of this issue. From writers who have been associated with Nhan Dan Newspaper to prominent names in the journalism industry and even young journalists in the post-digital era - all present together, creating a polyphonic harmony of revolutionary journalism through the ages.

It can be said that the special issue 21/6 is a “golden page of history written in the language of journalism”. It is the red thread running from the past to the present, where the values of revolutionary journalism are concentrated - where the revolutionary nature is never separated from the Party, the People and the country.
The third highlight is the publication “Imprints & Trends”, an elaborate compilation consisting of two parts: "Imprints reviews 100 typical milestones of revolutionary journalism, from institutional and ideological turning points to technology and organization"; "Trends analyze major transformations in the age of AI and digital media, from content production, newsroom organization to public outreach, with international data and domestic practical perspectives".
This publication not only pays tribute to the past but also calls on generations of journalists to innovate to maintain revolutionary identity.

Introducing the book “Uncle Ho’s articles on culture and journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper”, comrade Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said: “President Ho Chi Minh was the founder of Vietnam’s revolutionary journalism, as well as an excellent writer and a brilliant journalist. He considered himself a person who ‘had a predestined relationship with journalism’ and throughout his life of extremely rich and vibrant revolutionary activities, he used journalism as a sharp weapon to fight the enemy, while at the same time propagating and motivating the people to make a revolution for national liberation and socialist revolution”.

According to comrade Vu Trong Lam, President Ho Chi Minh was a tireless journalist throughout his life. Even during his time as the country's leader, with heavy duties and limited time, he still wrote regularly.
Comrade Vu Trong Lam shared that for each cadre and party member, President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to training revolutionary ethics. As for each journalist, he paid special attention to training journalistic ethics, first of all expressed in the spirit that each journalist is a soldier.
In Nhan Dan Newspaper alone, from the first issue (1951) until his passing (1969), more than 1,200 of his articles were published, an average of 60-70 articles per year. In half a century, from the date of the first article until his death, President Ho Chi Minh wrote about 2,000 articles of many genres, for more than 50 newspapers and magazines at home and abroad, in many languages, expressing the height of revolutionary ideology, patriotism, love for the people and pure revolutionary ethics, with simple, popular language, with a diverse and attractive style, capable of moving the hearts and minds of hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Comrade Van Bac, former Director, Head of the Party Building Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former full-time reporter of the General Secretary shared that within the framework of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, the Board of Directors of Nhan Dan Newspaper has a very meaningful and practical task of launching the book "Uncle Ho's articles on culture and journalism in Nhan Dan Newspaper".
As a specialist in writing about Party building, journalist Van Bac affirmed that for those who write for newspapers or do cultural work, the book is truly a rare "handbook".

“Through each of his articles, whether on journalism or culture, he concretized our Party’s viewpoints and policies on those fields in a vivid, concise, easy-to-read, easy-to-understand and easy-to-remember manner. Many articles on Party building, building a state of the people, by the people, for the people, especially on working style and manners, on maintaining ethics and lifestyle of Party members and cadres are practical learning materials for Party organizations and Party members, and still have value today.
In current political activities, many party organizations and party cells use this work as a research document, for exchange and communication to raise awareness of training moral qualities and lifestyle for cadres and party members. It can be considered a 'handbook' for party committees at all levels", journalist Van Bac affirmed.
According to journalist Hai Duong, former member of the Editorial Board of Nhan Dan Newspaper, in the publication “Imprints & Trends” there is a flow of time throughout the past 100 years, from the birth of Thanh Nien Newspaper to the gradual development of Nhan Dan Newspaper. This flow of time will continue to flow so that the Vietnamese revolutionary press can continue to follow the path that Uncle Ho led.

“In this book, many portraits and faces of the journalism community have been sketched with much research and new stories. In addition, touching stories in the process of working in journalism are also mentioned. In particular, the book has attracted the participation of many great writers, prestigious and authoritative writers,” added journalist Hai Duong.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Chi Trung, Vice Dean of the Institute of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) commented that there is a huge gap when lecturers stand on the podium but lack books about portraits of journalists, lack books suggesting models and trends of journalism development in the new situation. Therefore, the two books launched today are very valuable textbooks, filling the gaps in the history of journalism.
"Each book is a crystallization of history and vision, a responsible reminder that journalism is not just about reporting news but also about accompanying, guiding and serving the people," Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Chi Trung shared.
