Tuyen Quang meets, commends and rewards outstanding journalists

Attending the ceremony were comrade Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 100-year journey of formation and development of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, a journey closely associated with the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

Since President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien newspaper and published its first issue on June 21, 1925, our country's revolutionary press has grown steadily, becoming a shock force on the ideological and cultural front, accompanying the nation in every historical turning point.

Over the past 100 years, the revolutionary press has successfully fulfilled its mission of propagating and encouraging revolutionary movements; being a bridge between the Party, the State and the people; and at the same time being a reliable forum, where the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people are expressed.

Today's press continues to promote its role in leading public opinion, contributing to building a professional, humane, and modern press; protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province affirmed that in recent years, the province's press activities have developed strongly and comprehensively in terms of quantity, quality, content and form; press products have been increasingly invested in, rich in content and creative in form; the team of reporters and editors has been constantly growing.

The press agencies in the province, together with the team of journalists in Tuyen Quang, are always the vanguard force, leading the way on the ideological and cultural front; providing accurate, timely, oriented and vivid information and propaganda about the historical and cultural traditions and achievements in the renovation process that is taking place strongly in Tuyen Quang homeland.

He praised and commended the achievements of press agencies, all generations of leaders, reporters and journalists of previous generations who paved the way, laid the foundation, and contributed to the development of the press in Tuyen Quang province.

Comrade Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province spoke at the ceremony.

He hopes that the entire team of journalists in the province will continuously study, practice, improve their life experience, knowledge, and professional skills, be steadfast in political will, proficient in professional skills, have profound professional ethics, and be worthy of being soldiers on the Party's ideological front.

He suggested that Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations pay more attention and create favorable conditions for the development of the province's press agencies.

Leaders of Tuyen Quang province presented flowers to congratulate press agencies in the province.

He suggested that in the coming time, press agencies in the province should continue to focus on informing and propagating the following key tasks: The revolution of arranging, streamlining, and organizing the apparatus of the political system; arranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-level local government model; orientation and goals for economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security, Party building and the political system of Tuyen Quang province after the merger of administrative units of Tuyen Quang province and Ha Giang province.

Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to individuals.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province awarded certificates of merit to 23 collectives and 73 individuals for their outstanding achievements in journalism work in Tuyen Quang province.
