Barcelona achieves record revenue after El Clasico

According to RAC1 , the match at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys attracted 50,319 spectators. This helped Barcelona pocket more than 13.8 million euros in revenue from various sources, including ticket sales, VIP services, catering services and many other experiences.

The figure is almost double that of last year's El Clasico, when Barcelona pocketed 7.6 million euros in revenue.

Mundo Deportivo said the growth was due to Barcelona's flexible ticket pricing system. Tickets in the beautiful "Grandstand" area were sold for up to 1,250 euros. Meanwhile, tickets in other areas were priced at 450 and 745 euros. The tickets were not cheap but were still sought after by fans and sold out within a few hours of going on sale.

The VIP experience also played a key role in Barcelona’s record revenues. Special packages cost between €3,750 and €6,500 and are aimed at wealthy fans who want a complete and private viewing experience.

Also in this important match, the presence of American rapper Travis Scott added to the attraction of the event. Fans who bought VIP tickets will see Travis Scott's private performance on May 9.

Barcelona's 4-3 aggregate victory has given the team a great chance of winning La Liga this year. Coach Hansi Flick's team is 7 points ahead of rivals Real Madrid, while the tournament has only 3 rounds left to end.
