Temporarily detain Director and Deputy Director of silk company in Nam Ban Lam Ha

On the afternoon of July 26, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police announced that it had issued an arrest warrant for two suspects: Nguyen Khac H. and Nguyen Phi C., Director and Deputy Director of Nam Ban Silk Company Limited, to investigate the crime of fraud and property appropriation.

The Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police read the decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and order the temporary detention of the accused Nguyen Khac H., Director of Nam Ban Silk Company Limited to investigate the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

According to the initial investigation, defendant Nguyen Khac H. took advantage of the trust of his partners to sign dozens of raw silk export contracts with 7 foreign companies. He then directed his subordinate Nguyen Phi C. to forge delivery documents, tricking partners into transferring deposits and contract payments in order to appropriate property.

Nam Ban Silk Company Limited, headquartered in Nam Ban Lam Ha Commune, Lam Dong Province, has suspended operations since November 2023 due to loss of production capacity. However, Nguyen Khac H. still directed the signing of contracts and appropriated customers' money for personal use.

The Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police read the decision to prosecute the accused Nguyen Phi C., Deputy Director of Nam Ban Silk Company Limited to investigate the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

Previously, on July 14, Lam Dong Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a search warrant for the residence and workplace of Nguyen Khac H. and Nguyen Phi C.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police is continuing to verify and expand the investigation of the case related to more than 20 contracts that Nam Ban Silk Company Limited signed with foreign partners, showing signs of fraud with a total amount of money embezzled estimated at tens of billions of VND.
