Closing Ceremony of "The 1st Agribank Lai Vung Open Women's Volleyball Tournament 2025"

On October 19, at the headquarters of Agribank Lai Vung Dong Thap Branch, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the "1st Agribank Lai Vung Open Women's Volleyball Tournament - 2025" took place.

The tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20) and towards the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20). The Agribank Lai Vung Women's Volleyball Tournament attracted the attention and enthusiastic participation of the community.

There are 20 teams with 240 athletes from units and schools in 4 communes: Hoa Long, Lai Vung, Phong Hoa and Tan Duong. The teams compete in 4 rounds, including: Qualifying round, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

Mr. Nguyen Van Me, Director of Agribank Lai Vung Dop Thap Branch delivered the closing speech.

Taking place in two days: October 12, 2025 (at 2 fields: Hoa Long Commune Public Service Center and Agribank Lai Vung Branch) and October 19, 2025 at Agribank Lai Vung Branch , Dong Thap .

The tournament is not only a sports competition, but also creates a healthy and useful playground, a valuable opportunity for female officers of Agribank Lai Vung to exchange and strengthen ties with female officers, civil servants, teachers and workers in the locality.

The successful tournament contributed to spreading the spirit of sports, encouraging physical exercise, and affirming the dynamic, confident and brave beauty of Vietnamese women in the integration period. After two days of competition, with 47 matches, the Organizing Committee found the excellent teams and conducted the summary and award ceremony.

As a result, Lai Vung School Cluster Team won the Championship Cup, Gold Medal and a prize of 5,000,000 VND for the First Prize Team and a gift from ABIC Can Tho. The Second Prize went to Hoa Long School Cluster Team. The Organizing Committee awarded a Silver Medal and a prize of 4,000,000 VND. The two teams shared the Third Prize, Agribank Lai Vung and Lai Vung Commune.

The teams were awarded Bronze Medals and 3,000,000 VND in prize money. The Best Athlete Award was presented with the Logo and gifts from the Organizing Committee to Athlete Nguyen Yen Xuan (belonging to the Lai Vung School Cluster Team).

The first Agribank Lai Vung Women's Volleyball Tournament - 2025 ended with great success. This was not only a meaningful commemorative activity but also became a playground to connect the community, strongly spreading the spirit of "Healthy to work, be creative and contribute" among female staff, teachers and workers in the area. The bright smiles, friendly handshakes and the spirit of solidarity and exchange throughout the matches left a good impression on the hearts of the audience and athletes. Mr. Nguyen Van Ne, Director of Agribank Lai Vung Branch said.

Mr. Duong Tho Tung, Vice Principal of Hoa Long 1 Primary School (Dong Thap Province): When we received the Volleyball Tournament Plan, we coordinated with the units to create conditions for the girls to participate, mainly providing spiritual support. The team's practice time is from 18:00 to 18:30 (daily). The school also invited fans to cheer on the teams in practice to contribute to bringing the highest results for the team. For many consecutive years, our team has achieved high rankings, so this time we must be even more determined to maintain our achievements.

We are very pleased to have Agribank accompany and organize this meaningful Sports Tournament, creating conditions for everyone to exercise and connect with other units.
