Ben Foster and Cristiano Ronaldo were teammates at Manchester United for two seasons before the Portuguese superstar moved to Real Madrid in 2009. On his journey to becoming one of the greatest footballers in the world , CR7 cultivated iron discipline, almost completely abstaining from alcohol and never even socializing with teammates after matches.

Ben Foster revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is hardly interested in socializing or drinking alcohol. He shared: “Honestly, he never touches alcohol. Cristiano Ronaldo has absolutely no interest in it. He knows that one slip-up could lead to him being photographed or exploited. Therefore, CR7 chooses to completely avoid gatherings with his teammates.”
The former goalkeeper also spoke about C. Ronaldo's professionalism and iron discipline: "He's always the first to arrive and the last to leave the training ground. Many times I arrived early, but C. Ronaldo was already there. He would get massages, work out in the gym, and get ready for training."

According to Ben Foster, that dedication was the foundation that helped Ronaldo maintain his peak performance for two decades. "Nobody can do what he does. To maintain that level for such a long time is extraordinary."
Ben Foster further revealed that C. Ronaldo was always exemplary, which often led to him being favored by manager Sir Alex Ferguson over his teammates, to the point of being jokingly called "the favorite pupil." However, no one in the dressing room complained, because everyone understood that his talent and dedication deserved it.
"He has always been a key contributor to the team's victories, whether in the Premier League or the Champions League. Everyone can see that," Ben Foster concluded.
