Ben Foster and C.Ronaldo were teammates at Man Utd for two seasons before the Portuguese superstar moved to Real Madrid in 2009. On his journey to becoming a great player in world football, CR7 built iron discipline, almost said no to alcohol and never even gathered with teammates after matches.

Ben Foster said that C. Ronaldo is hardly enthusiastic about gathering or drinking. He shared: “Honestly, he never touches alcohol. C. Ronaldo has no interest in it at all. He knows that just one mistake can be photographed or taken advantage of. Therefore, CR7 chooses to completely stay away from gatherings with teammates.”
The former goalkeeper also spoke about C. Ronaldo's professionalism and iron discipline: "He is always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave the training ground. Many times I arrived early, but C. Ronaldo was already there. He massaged, worked out at the gym, and prepared for the training session."

According to Ben Foster, that dedication is the foundation that has helped Ronaldo maintain his peak form for two decades. “Nobody can do it like him. To maintain that level for such a long time is extraordinary.”
Ben Foster further revealed that C. Ronaldo has always been a role model, which often led to him being favored by coach Sir Alex Ferguson over his teammates, to the point of being teased as “favorite student”. However, no one in the dressing room complained, because everyone understood that his talent and dedication deserved it.
“He has always contributed a lot to the team's success, whether it's in the Premier League or the Champions League. Everyone can see that,” Ben Foster concluded.
