9-year-old boy in critical condition due to severe anaphylactic shock from eating seafood

Specifically, a few days ago, the Emergency Department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital admitted a boy named T.D.HP (9 years old, residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) in a very critical condition, suffering from anaphylactic shock due to an allergy to seafood.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, the child's mother, said that her son suffered from grade 3 anaphylactic shock, but the family mistook it for an allergic reaction to hives and gave him two anti-allergy pills. After giving him the medicine but his condition did not improve, she took him to Vinh City General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Here, the doctors diagnosed the child with grade 3 anaphylactic shock to crab and fish, slow pulse, sometimes unable to feel pulse, low blood pressure, cold and purple limbs, convulsions...

The baby's blood pressure continued to decrease and worsen after two intramuscular injections, after which the doctors promptly sent an ambulance to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for further treatment. Thanks to the correct initial treatment and timely transfer, the patient was treated by the doctors.
