PUPPETIC spreads the value of puppetry art to the young generation

With a creative, youthful approach and respect for traditional values, the RươiCONIC project, implemented by a group of students from the Academy of Journalism and Communication in collaboration with the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, is creating a new mark in the journey of connecting heritage with the young generation.

Right from the first days of its launch, RỘCONIC quickly created a strong influence on digital platforms. No longer puppets hidden behind the water curtain, the art of puppetry is told by RỘCONIC in the language of modern media: from graphics, music , to storytelling, all aim to arouse the imagination and emotions of young people. It is this delicate and artistic way of communication that has helped RỘCONIC reach the public in a gentle but profound way.

The project not only arouses pride in national heritage but also opens up a new direction for "rejuvenating" traditional art with a spirit of creativity, civilization and respect for roots.

Nghiem Tra My, Head of the Project Organizing Committee, shared: “The Organizing Committee wishes to breathe new life into puppetry, turning it into a part of modern creative life, where young people can freely feel, explore and express their own perspectives on national culture. Through the project, Rươiconic hopes to connect heritage with the new generation, so that puppetry is not only “preserved” but also revived in a youthful, dynamic and inspiring appearance.”

Not only stopping at spreading positive images on digital platforms, RươiCONIC continues to expand the experience space, aiming to bring young people closer to puppetry art through exchange workshops and the play "Echoes of the Countryside" scheduled to be held on December 20 at the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre.

This activity is expected to give the audience the opportunity to talk with the artists, learn about the performance process and immerse themselves in the folk theater space, where rustic stories are recreated with a modern breath. This is not just a regular workshop or performance, but also a bridge between the creator and the public, between folk art and modern life.

In a context where many traditional art forms are struggling to reach the public, Rọcconic shows the effectiveness of a creative approach: when heritage is told in the language of young people, it not only revives but also spreads more strongly than ever.

With positive signals right from the first stage of implementation, RươiCONIC is not only a media project, but also a journey connecting heritage and the young generation with understanding and love of culture. By approaching closely and creatively, RươiCONIC is contributing to help the art of puppetry continue to "live" in modern life: both traditional and familiar to today's youth.
