Last June, Tran Huyen Trang (born in 1993, from Phu Tho) - deputy flight attendant of the world's most luxurious airline Emirates - set foot in Croatia. This was the 101st country in her journey around the world.
"Actually, after reaching the milestone of 100 countries, every trip after that has been much easier. I no longer put too much emphasis on 'conquering', but travel just to relax, enjoy and feel," she shared with Tri Thuc - Znews .
For Trang, Croatia was like a weekend getaway, easy, comfortable and without the feeling of racing. After the 100-country mark, she no longer felt the urge to "write down more numbers". Instead, Trang spent time going back to places she had been to too quickly, wanting to experience them more thoroughly.
Dream of exploring the world
Huyen Trang started "going abroad" at the age of 18, during a summer study trip in Macao (China) while studying Portuguese at Hanoi University. It was also the first time she went away from home, and she went with a group of close friends, so the trip was full of memories.
Trang remembers her last night in Macau the most, when she and a friend walked almost half the city because they were reluctant to go home. "Luckily, it was safe. If I were allowed to walk around like that now, I would have to be more careful," she laughed.
Since childhood, Trang has dreamed of traveling to many places. Only when she learned about the flight attendant profession did she realize this was an opportunity to make her dream come true.
In 2014, she officially entered the profession, starting years of continuous flying around the world. Her busy flight schedule helped Trang set foot in more than 50 countries; the rest were independent trips, planned on her limited days off.

According to the flight schedule, she usually only has 24 hours at each destination; when traveling by herself, the shortest trip is about 1.5 days, the longest is two weeks.
"I always try to optimize my schedule as much as possible. If I have a short trip, I choose a nearby country, if I have a long trip, I go far away," she said. Her passion for traveling makes Trang always find a way to "keep going", no matter how busy she is.
During her journey through 101 countries, she had countless memories and many valuable lessons. But the most memorable moment came from Peru. On the train from Cusco to Machu Picchu, admiring the scenery on both sides of the road, she suddenly felt like she was getting smaller.
"The world is so big that the things I used to worry about suddenly become very small," Trang confided.
That feeling made her realize that sometimes people make life complicated. Realizing that she was just a "small grain of sand", she felt relieved and less sad.

Go "slow" with parents
On August 31, 2024, Trang flew to Bahrain, completing her goal of exploring 100 countries, exactly two days before her 31st birthday. Previously, she set a goal of reaching this milestone before turning 30, but Covid-19 forced the plan to be postponed.
The closer Trang got to her destination, the more she wanted to finish it and start a new journey: taking her parents on a trip. "Traveling alone, I saw so many wonderful things. Many times, standing in front of beautiful scenery, I just thought: 'If only my parents could see this too'," she said.
If in her younger years, Trang traveled "fast" to complete her goals, now she actively travels "slowly" to enjoy and share experiences with her family. She said, people often say traveling alone is fast, traveling together is far. But for Trang, trips with family are always more fun and meaningful.
Experience from more than 100 trips helps parents feel absolutely secure when traveling with their daughter. "Parents just need to enjoy, I take care of the rest. My greatest joy now is seeing my loved ones happy on the journeys I've always dreamed of," she confided.
In early April, Trang took her parents to Dubai (UAE) for a vacation. There, they had the opportunity to attend her deputy flight attendant graduation ceremony at Emirates.
"The first graduation ceremony was 11 years ago, I was alone. This time with my parents by my side, I am much happier," she shared.

Recently, the whole family went on a trip to Europe, ending in the Czech Republic - where the family has relatives living. It was both a trip and a rare reunion. "This is a beautiful memory," Trang said.
Traveling with her parents completely changed her "adventurous" way of traveling. Before, Trang did not like to plan in detail, often letting things happen naturally and prioritizing emotions. But when traveling with her family, she thought more: where to take pictures so that her parents could have beautiful pictures, what to eat to suit their taste, what schedule to have a comfortable time.
"I started to be more responsible and think about others more," she said. For her, the feeling of taking care of her parents during their trips made her feel "satisfied". Luckily, her parents were young, easy-going and "playful", so the journey was always fun and full of laughter.
"Going with my parents has no generation gap. And I go because I want to, not because of obligation or responsibility," Trang shared.
In the future, she still wants to spend more time with her parents when the family can arrange it. At the same time, she wants to focus more on her work and her cherished career goals.
"I spent my youth exploring. Now, traveling is for rest and relaxation. I will choose places I really like, and the same goes for my parents - prioritizing suitable, gentle destinations," she added.
