According to AppleInsider , the first-generation Beats Studio Buds were released in June 2021, which means the company has taken nearly two years to release an updated version of the product that brings some improvements. Still resembling the compact earbuds with silicone tips that fit into the ear canal, the Beats Studio Buds+ work similarly to Apple's AirPods Pro. It also comes in a charging case, which is now available in a transparent option.
Beats Studio Buds+ Offers Transparent Color Option
The ANC and Transparency features on the headphones allow users to reduce ambient noise or let some of the outside world through. Beats says these modes are improved by 1.6x and 2x, respectively, over their predecessors thanks to a microphone that's three times larger.
Apple still equips the headphones with a proprietary Beats processor, a different chip than the H2 used in the AirPods Pro. This chip also lacks some built-in Apple ecosystem features to support special capabilities like the AirPods Pro when working with Android and Apple devices.
The earbuds offer a battery life of 5 hours with ANC on or 8 hours with ANC off. These numbers remain the same as its predecessor. Additionally, users can also extend the battery life of the earbuds up to 36 hours via the included charging case.
Beats Studio Buds+ officially hit shelves from May 17 with a retail price of $169.95, including transparent, black or ivory options.
