After 10 years with the club, the flamboyant midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has decided to leave Man City at the end of the current season. There are many rumors that he will move to a rich team in Saudi Arabia, possibly Al-Hilal or Al-Nassr.
There are also some other sources saying that De Bruyne will go to America and play in MLS.
However, according to the latest information, the Belgian star will not go too far but choose to stay in Europe. Specifically, according to ESPN, De Bruyne will move to Napoli on a free transfer. This information appeared within 1 day after the Naples team won the Italian Championship (Series A).
The two sides are still negotiating the deal. If they agree, De Bruyne will have his salary significantly reduced. Specifically, in the first two seasons, he received 6 million euros/season. From the third season on, this number will drop to 5 million euros/season.
De Bruyne's current salary at Man City is up to 23 million euros. It is reasonable that his income has decreased significantly when moving to Napoli because he is 34 years old this year.
When moving to the new Serie A champions, De Bruyne will play alongside Romelu Lukaku. The two have always shown good chemistry when playing for Belgium and are expected to form a formidable duo for Napoli next season.
De Bruyne joined Man City in 2015, made 421 appearances, scored 108 goals and created 177 assists. He won many prestigious titles, including 6 Premier League titles and 1 Champions League.
