QTO - On the morning of October 11, Quang Tri General Hospital informed that after more than 20 days of intensive treatment, the last patient in the serious accident that occurred at Tan Long banana market, Lao Bao commune on September 17 has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

The patient is CB (35 years old), Lao nationality. Previously, the patient was hospitalized in critical condition, with severe multiple injuries including traumatic brain injury, complex open fractures of the femur and both lower legs, cervical and thoracic spine injuries, liver, lung and abdominal injuries.

To provide emergency care, the Provincial General Hospital activated the “red alert” throughout the hospital, mobilizing many specialized teams to save the patient’s life. During the treatment process, patient CB underwent 5 major and minor surgeries, including 2 special surgeries to treat complex head and femur injuries with the coordination of 5 specialties to ensure timely and effective treatment.

During the most critical moment, 3 doctors and nurses of the hospital directly donated blood to save the patient's life. Sharing the difficult situation of the patient's family, the Provincial General Hospital and benefactors supported nearly 90 million VND in hospital fees, helping patient CB to continue treatment until he recovered.
