This is one of the events marking a step forward in the journey to improve the quality of diagnostic imaging in Vietnam, bringing the opportunity to access international standard medical technology to the people.
From efforts to upgrade medical equipment systems
With the desire to bring modern medical technology from around the world to take care of the health of Vietnamese people, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet - the founder of Phuong Dong General Hospital has invested 120 billion VND to install and put into operation the NAEOTOM Alpha quantum tomography system. The launching ceremony took place on the morning of August 7 and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet was one of the people who directly cut the ribbon to inaugurate the machine.
The ceremony was attended by many medical experts and guests: Mr. Michael Kratz - Commercial Counselor, German Embassy in Vietnam; Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Thong - President of the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine; Mr. Fabian Martin Singer - CEO of Siemens Healthineers, along with many leading medical experts from within and outside the country.

Also at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Thong, President of the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, commented: "The photon counting technology of the NAEOTOM Alpha system is opening a new era: Allowing faster capture, sharper and safer images, thereby helping doctors make earlier decisions, which is very important in stroke emergency, early detection of cancer or post-treatment monitoring."
Within the framework of the program, delegates directly visited the modern medical equipment system, including 3.0 Tesla MRI machine, NAEOTOM Alpha photon counting CT machine... at the Radiology Center, Tower A, Phuong Dong Medical Complex.

Towards the mission of improving the quality of Vietnamese healthcare
Vietnam's healthcare sector has made great strides in recent years, however, there are still many issues that need attention, such as: the number of people accessing high-quality services is still low; early detection of the risk of dangerous diseases such as cancer and stroke has not been given much attention.
In that context, the participation of non-public hospitals plays an important role in bringing better quality of health care to the people, shortening the gap in medical technology with the international level. Phuong Dong General Hospital has clearly demonstrated its role with the orientation of investing in modern equipment systems, through specific actions.

In addition to the modern medical equipment system applying artificial intelligence (AI) such as: 3.0T, 1.5T MRI; NAEOTOM Alpha system, ... the hospital has invested in modern equipment for high-tech cancer diagnosis and treatment such as: Elekta accelerator radiotherapy machine (UK); PET/CT, SPECT/CT system of GE (USA); FujiFilm interventional ultrasound endoscopy system (Japan), 3D-4K ICG endoscopic surgery system... All are invested thoroughly to ensure the highest diagnostic and treatment efficiency for patients.
