Bentley Bentayga gasoline hybrid electric "Chinese copycat" is as cheap as Honda SH

Imitating the Bentley Bentayga's design, the Chinese hybrid electric car EREV attracts attention with its luxurious design and price equal to that of a high-end scooter.

A Bentley Bentayga-esque model is gaining a lot of attention in China. It is a product of the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) line, developed for customers who like the look of luxury but don’t want to spend a lot of money.

The exterior of the car is almost a copy of the Bentayga, from the matrix grille, dual headlights to the majestic body lines. Although smaller in size than the original, the design style creates a high visual effect, making many people mistake this for a real luxury SUV.

The engine of this model is EREV, which means it has a small gasoline engine that charges the battery, significantly increasing the operating range. The car can travel about 150-200 km on battery alone, and when combined with the gasoline engine, the total range can be up to more than 500 km. The maximum speed is about 80 km/h, enough for urban travel needs.

The special thing is that despite its low price, the car is still equipped with some basic amenities such as air conditioning, entertainment system, electric locks, and even electric windows. This is a factor that makes this car model attractive to people in rural areas, or those who want a different vehicle with low investment cost.

Although it is just a “mini copy”, this Bentley-style EREV model still shows the creativity and daring of car manufacturers in China. It is unclear whether it will have a chance to reach the international market, but at home, this is definitely a “show car” that attracts a lot of curiosity and discussion.

The interior of the car also surprises with its spacious 4-seat layout, simple central screen, faux leather seats and some wood-like decorative details. With a low cost, the materials of course cannot be compared to real luxury cars, but considering the price, this is a commendable effort.

This car attracts attention not only because of its "copycat" brand from China or its performance, but also because of its unbelievable price of only about 3,100 USD (equivalent to more than 70 million VND) in the billion-people market.
