With the spirit of daring to think and dare to do, Party Cell Secretary Dang Dinh Dien (Dao ethnic, born in 1952, Ha Thanh area, Tan Lap commune, Thanh Son district) is known by many people as a typical example of good production and business.

Mr. Dang Dinh Dien said that from the early years of starting his business, his family only produced on a small scale. With the diligence and desire to learn and the efforts of himself and his family, and at the same time understanding the needs and conditions for developing afforestation, since 2018, he started investing in afforestation, establishing a farm combined with raising chickens, pigs, cows, and growing cassava for livestock and poultry.
“I realized that agricultural production faces many risks such as: unstable market prices; epidemics and natural disasters causing great damage and affecting production and family income, so I am determined to expand and develop production towards long-term and sustainable production and business,” Mr. Dang Dinh Dien shared.
Having determined that direction, from 2019 to now, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dien has developed fruit tree planting, combined with investment in expanding the forest planting area to 250 hectares and raising pigs and cows. He added: My family has applied production experiences such as planting forests without planting quickly, planting according to the right techniques; planting forests, filling deep holes with synthetic fertilizers to create conditions for trees to grow well, choosing the right soil to plant trees. In the process of producing forests and planting fruit trees, my family combines with livestock grazing, taking advantage of grass as a source of food on the spot for cows; cow waste is a source of fertilizer for plants, so it does not pollute the environment; creating jobs for 30 workers.
With his experience and the right investment, each year, the area of grapefruit, lemon, and guava plantations now generates an income of about 200 million VND; the water surface area for fish farming is nearly 5,000m2, generating an income of about 50 million VND; at the same time, his family also opened a wood peeling workshop, processing wood from raw materials from his family and from local forest growers. With income from production and business, after deducting expenses, his family has an income of about 1.5 billion VND/year.
Not only developing the family economy , Mr. Dang Dinh Dien often helps and mobilizes people in the area to convert crop and livestock varieties, as well as imparts experiences and scientific and technical advances in production and livestock and poultry farming, and takes the lead in local patriotic emulation movements.
Mr. Dang Dinh Dien is a worthy example of good economic performance, and is honored to be one of the typical ethnic minority individuals of Phu Tho province to be proposed to the Prime Minister for a Certificate of Merit at the upcoming 4th Congress of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities.
