The National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Do Duc Duy, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term.
On August 26, the Resolution approving the Prime Minister 's proposal to appoint Mr. Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term was carried out by electronic voting.
As a result, 426/426 National Assembly delegates participated in the vote to approve the Resolution.
New Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy was born on May 20, 1970, in Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He has a Master's degree in Construction and a senior degree in political theory.
Mr. Do Duc Duy is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Do Duc Duy taught at Hanoi University of Architecture for more than 6 years (February 1996 - March 2002) before moving to work at the Ministry of Construction. He held the following positions: Deputy Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel; Chief of Office of the Ministry of Construction; Deputy Minister of Construction.
Since February 2017, he has been Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province.
By September 2020, Mr. Do Duc Duy held the position of Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.
