Bich Tuyen revealed the reason for withdrawing from the Vietnamese women's volleyball team

On the evening of August 19, athlete Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen spoke out after news broke that she would not participate in the Women's Volleyball World Championship.

Previously, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) confirmed that Bich Tuyen had submitted her withdrawal request due to personal reasons. The federation and coaching staff respected this decision and left for Thailand to attend the World Championship with only 13 athletes.

By the evening of August 19, Bich Tuyen herself had spoken out. She made the announcement on her personal Facebook page with over 13,000 followers.

The 2000-born setter said: "Hello everyone. First of all, Tuyen would like to send her sincere thanks to the fans who have always followed, accompanied and supported Tuyen and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

Winning the SEA V.League round 2 is a testament to his relentless efforts and a dream that has come true. The historic victory over Thailand will be the most beautiful memory in Tuyen's career.

Today, Tuyen would like to announce that she will not participate in the upcoming World Championship. This is a decision that Tuyen has carefully considered and received respect from the Coaching Board and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.

The reason Tuyen made this decision was not because of a lack of desire to compete, but because of new requirements from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) regarding the competition conditions of athletes.

For Tuyen, sports are not only about competition but also about respect and fairness. Tuyen feels that these regulations are not transparent and lack the necessary fairness towards athletes.

Tuyen believes that every athlete deserves to compete in an environment of respect and equality.

To protect her own integrity and avoid unnecessary risks for the team, Tuyen has decided to withdraw. Tuyen will spend this time focusing on training, preparing for future tournaments. Tuyen believes that with the best preparation, the Vietnamese team will still compete with all their might and achieve new successes.

It is known that tomorrow, August 20, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will leave for Thailand. Among the 13 athletes in hand, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet only brought one opposing setter, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh.
