Bich Tuyen was not summoned to attend SEA Games 33

(Dan Tri) - Opposite setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen is officially not on the list of Vietnamese women's volleyball team preparing for SEA Games 33.

The list of 20 athletes of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team preparing for the 33rd SEA Games was just announced by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) on the evening of October 18. Notably absent from this list is the absence of opposing setter Bich Tuyen.

This is the second consecutive time Bich Tuyen has not been selected for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. Previously, she withdrew from the world championship held in Thailand (August).

Returning to the club, Bich Tuyen was registered by the Ninh Binh women's team coaching board to be a... caregiver in phase 2 of the 2025 national volleyball championship.

In addition to the issue of not being allowed to compete in the national tournament, Bich Tuyen's removal from the list of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is believed to be related to non-professional issues.

Regarding the list of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, two familiar faces, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy, also did not appear. The reason is that both are busy competing in the Japanese national championship. It is known that VFV will negotiate with Japanese clubs to have these two players return to the country to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

In this list, there is an impressive return of Dang Thi Kim Thanh - a hitter who showed very good form, helping VTV Binh Dien Long An Club win the 2025 national championship.

Besides, young faces like Quynh Huong (main attacker), Vi Thi Yen Nhi (setter), Le Thuy Linh (middle attacker), or Ha Kieu Vy (libero)... bring a lot of expectations.
