The representative of the organizing unit said that during the day, the company auctioned 80,000 license plates divided into 8 shifts (4 shifts in the morning, 4 shifts in the afternoon), each shift lasting 25 minutes. Of these, there were about 50,000 motorcycle license plates and 30,000 car license plates.
In the afternoon alone, the number plate 99A-999.99 set a new record for auction value. In addition, many other car number plates also reached high prices, such as the number plate 15K-699.99 won more than 1 billion VND and the number plate 30B-299.99 won 915 million VND.
The license plate 99A-999.99 is considered extremely special by car enthusiasts and license plate collectors. The number “99” is the largest number in the two-digit natural number series, symbolizing perfection, sustainability and longevity.

According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), after 6 car license plate auctions (from September 15, 2023 to present), the total amount collected has reached nearly 6,600 billion VND, all of which has been paid to the State budget.
